Bush values human life?
Bush addressed the press today on his rationale for vetoing the stem cell research bill sent to him by Congress. This statement is awesome for the irony: Destroying human life in the hopes of saving human life is not ethical — and it is not the only option before us.
Hmm. Innocent civilian casualties in Iraq? The death penalty? Torture in times of war? Apparently that's all different. I certainly don't believe that the Iraq war was the only option available to us at the time; though, I do think that Saddam had to be dealt with. It's all very complicated and even more so by the complete dolt that we have in the White House for another year and a half. Ya gotta love situational truths backed by party hacks. This man makes a mockery of the highest office in our country. Not that he's the first.
Witnessing aversion.
