Transgender Youth - A Personal Profile

Melissa came to bed Sunday morning at 6:30am and murmured that she had finished the video project for her graduate school class called Adolescent Development. The purpose of the short movie is to educate future teachers so that they're more prepared when they encounter transgender youth.

As I watched it, smiles turned to laughter turned to tears turned to sobs turned to laughter turned to smiles (and repeat 1x). Although I would change a few minor things, I was surprised and humbled and ecstatic about the end result. My wife is an angel (and a demon, but that's not the focus here!)

A couple of comments: The story I wrote as a kid can be read if paused; it's quite hilarious. And ya gotta love a pirate holding an American flag. I was a "good" American kid, even if confused. Finally, big thanks to my mother for being a picture and memento junkie. I knew all those years of "smile!" would be good for something.
